We focus on four programme areas at The Atlantic Philanthropies: Ageing, Disadvantaged Children & Youth, Population Health and Reconciliation & Human Rights. We selected these areas because they represent some of the most critical social problems facing the world today and provide profound opportunities for us to make lasting improvements in people’s lives. These programmes are currently at different stages of development. A brief summary of each of them appears below. More detailed information about them can be found by following the links.
Through our Ageing Programme, we seek to bring about lasting improvements in the lives of older adults, transform how ageing is viewed within society and improve the way older persons are treated by society. We focus on ageing in Bermuda, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and the United States.
