Toyota USA Foundation Awards $3.3 Million for American K-12 Education

The Academy for Educational Development, the Children’s Aid Society and The After-School Corporation are Atlantic grantees.

The Toyota USA Foundation has announced grants totaling $3.3 million to twelve organizations working in the areas of K-12 math, science, and environmental education.

The foundation awarded grants ranging from $65,000 to $403,758 to organizations with programs that are broad in scope, incorporate interdisciplinary learning, and use real-world classroom applications and/or innovative, cost-effective programs to develop students’ and teachers’ abilities. The grantees are the Academy for Educational Development, the American Museum of Natural History, the Arizona Council on Economic Education, the Chicago Horticultural Society/Chicago Botanic Garden, the Children’s Aid Society, the MIND Research Institute, the MK Level Playing Field Institute, the National Council for Science and the Environment, the Research Foundation of SUNY, the After-School Corporation, the University of Texas at Austin Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, and New Mexico State University-Southern New Mexico Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and Aerospace Academy.
