Humanitarian organisation Atlantic Philanthropies (AP) has funded the construction and equipping of 62 communal medical stations in central Khanh Hoa province.

The organisation has donated 4.2 million USD to be spent on infrastructure and equipment for primary health care services, including delivery and dental chairs and surgical instruments for medical stations in all eight districts and towns in Khanh Hoa.

According to Dr. Truong Tan Minh, Head of the provincial Health Care Service, all communal medical stations, each with 4-6 beds, are built in accordance with national standards.

Many of these stations are already operational.

They are expected to facilitate primary health care for people in rural areas, helping reduce patient overloads at provincial and central hospitals.
