Mary Sutton Appointed Country Director for the Republic of Ireland at The Atlantic Philanthropies.

Mary Sutton, Country Director The Atlantic Philanthropies is pleased to announce the appointment of Mary Sutton as Country Director for the Republic of Ireland.

In this role, she will lead the Atlantic team in the Republic of Ireland, overseeing grantmaking under Atlantic’s Ageing, Children & Youth and Reconciliation & Human Rights Programmes and liaise with government and other key partners.

Prior to joining Atlantic in 2008 Ms Sutton worked in the Department of Foreign Affairs as Principal Development Specialist with the Advisory Board for Irish Aid. Previous to that, Ms. Sutton was Deputy Director of Trócaire.

She holds an M.A. in Economics from McMaster University in Canada and a B.Soc.Sc. in Economics and Sociology from University College Dublin.

The Atlantic Philanthropies are dedicated to bringing about lasting changes in the lives of disadvantaged and vulnerable people. Atlantic makes grants through its four programme areas – Ageing, Children & Youth, Population Health, and Reconciliation & Human Rights – and through Founding Chairman grants. Programmes funded by Atlantic operate in Australia, Bermuda, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, South Africa, the United States and Viet Nam.
