Influencing Policy and Funding for Integrated Learning Models

Resource type: Grants

Granted to James B. Hunt Jr. Institute for Educational Leadership & Policy Foundation

Goal

To strengthen and inform funding policy for integrated learning in the United States, by educating policymakers and education leadership. “Integrated” learning refers to programmes that combine effective academics with youth development strategies that can be accessed by youth during both in and out of school time. While few such models currently exist, supporting best practice out-of- school-time programmes that seek to integrate with school-day education may be the best point of entry to achieving true integrated learning. The Institute will focus on such efforts in it’s advocacy and educational work.
