To enhance the quality of life of people at the end of their lives by helping build The Cicely Saunders Institute of Palliative Care at King’s College, London, which promotes and supports research to improve the care and treatment of all patients with terminal and progressive illness and to make such high-quality palliative care available to everyone who needs it – be it in hospice, hospital or home.
