Goal
To support the expansion of VOLS Elderly Project, in which lawyers volunteer free legal services to elderly poor persons living in their Manhattan neighborhoods. The program currently has available 400 attorneys on the East and West Sides, and seeks to recruit and train additional attorneys willing to work in areas such as East Harlem and Washington Heights. It also plans to increase services to homebound clients and to identify additional under-served elderly populations, such as nursing home and adult home residents.
