Bryan Stevenson is a public interest lawyer who has dedicated his life to fighting racial discrimination in the criminal justice system. His efforts have also focused on putting a spotlight on the legacy of slavery in America. His nonprofit, The Equal Justice Initiative, has saved 125 death row prisoners from execution.
Here Stevenson talks to Charlie Rose about the organization’s plans to open the first memorial honoring the thousands of victims of lynching in the United States.
