Launched in 2009, The Fermanagh Trust’s Shared Education Programme works to:

  • develop linkages among schools in different sectors,
  • build bridges between Catholic and Protestant communities creating the potential for future joint working, sharing and collaborating in education,
  • create more cohesive and sustainable communities, and
  • provide better learning opportunities for students.

The Fermanagh Trust is an Atlantic grantee through the Reconciliation & Human Rights Programme in Northern Ireland where encouraging sharing, cohesion, and integration by strengthening advocacy efforts, particularly in education and in areas most affected by the legacy of the conflict is a key area of strategic focus.
